Alright everybody!!! We have a place: Sunset Beach House (deposit was mailed today). We have a date and time: Oct 11th at 5pm AND We have a man of God: Mac Steinmeyer (our favorite pastor because he is hilarious!!) We have a plan: to get married without any hurricanes, floods, plagues, etc. Now I need a dress! Don't pencil us in, write it in SHARPIE baby!!!

PS- Here is the link to a hotel just down the beach from us. It looks cute, Jefferson Motel Apartments, plus the prices look really reasonable at $49/night and up

Wonderful choice. I go to caddy's on Sunset Beach and walk by the beach house often. This will be special.

The place looks great! I'm so excited for you!! Are you doing a seating chart? There's a site called simpleseating.com that lets you organize that for 19.95 for up to 350 guests... weddingmapper.com lets you map out where the wedding site is and email the link to guests to print directions... I don't have any help for the dress though, sorry!! I know you'll find the right one!
You now have a place, date and couple...all the things you need to send out an invitation. This is a HUGE accomplishment! Your next mission...if you accept it is finding THE DRESS!
I HATE DRESSES....But I LOVE the beach and Shannon, so it kinda evens out in the end.
That's a great day! It is our anniversary as well!
